The Mega Auction of 2018 is just around the corner, to be held on 27 and 28 of January this month in Bengaluru, the BCCI announced on Saturday (January 13). The IPL anticipation regarding the player auction for the upcoming edition has already picked up the heat and the fans are eagerly waiting for the auction to take place. So, that they can look over there renowned teams back in form and all the new players getting the intake to their respective team.
On Friday, Jan 12, 2018, VIVO Indian Premier League board just announced an enormous 1122 players signing up to be a part of the mega VIVO IPL Player Auction 2018 scheduled to take place in Bengaluru on Jan 27-28, 2018.
This time we can see a wide diversity of players from every country showing a keen interest in IPL auction this year. It looks like each player is anxious to take the field in this new decade of IPL.
Some of the players taking part in this year auction, country wise are listed below.
The franchises will leave no stone unturned when Chris Gayle, Ben Stokes, Chris Lynn, Dwayne Bravo and pacers Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins come up for VIVO IPL Player Auction 2018. But on other hands, each team will be ready to use there Right to Match (RTM) options available with the respective teams to there their old players getting back to their team.
In the ongoing Australian cricket league known as Big bash league (BBL). We can find some of the overseas new emerging talents that can interest the franchises or heat up the bidding auction and spark the 11th edition of the IPL 2018. Australian D’Arcy Short and youngster Jofra Archer will be hoping to cash in on their recent T20 form in BBL. These are some of the new talent and other players like Dwayne Bravo, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, etc. can also have a big bidding war among the franchises for their recent form in BBL.
Mitchell Starc, who ended his association with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ahead of the last IPL, too has entered the auction. The full list has already been sent out to the eight franchises. There are a total of 281 capped players, 838 uncapped players, which also includes 778 Indian players.
